Rally for the Future of Higher Education

We will be assembling from 12 noon at Barker’s Pool, with speeches beginning at 12:15. Our office at 3 Palmerston Road will be open from 11am for members to pick up placards, and will remain open for you to drop them off after the rally. We are not planning a formal march, which shuts down streets, but we hope that many groups of members walking different paths across town with very visible placards, hats, and UCU coloured clothing, will be a very visible and public showing of our dispute. Additionally, a Student Bloc will be meeting from 11:30am at the SU Concourse, should you want to share this with your students.

With our action coinciding with action by other union’s across the country, including workers from Royal Mail & Sixth Form Colleges, we will be joined by a number of speakers, including:
